There are four kinds of housing available at the camp. All lodges and cabins have electricity.
Please indicate on the Registration Form the type of housing you prefer and pay the appropriate amount for that housing. Housing will be assigned on a first come, first serve basis when your registration form is received. If the type of housing you requested is full, you will either receive a refund for the difference when you arrive or can pay to upgrade to a higher housing level.
There is one hotel in Gold Hill, called the Bluebird Lodge. This is a rustic 1872 hotel that includes 7 available sleeping rooms with one queen size bed each and bathrooms down the hall. There are 2 large sitting rooms with fireplaces, a large back deck and high speed wireless internet. The hotel does not rent out single rooms, rather rents the whole facility for $575.00 plus 4.75% tax per night. Assuming all the rooms are filled, the price per room for the weekend would be $258.00 (includes tax). If the rooms are not full, the price will go up as the people staying there must cover the full rental fee. The people choosing this option will pay an Ale fee of $123.00 as they do not have to pay the camp fee, but the cost of the hotel instead. The Ale fee should be paid at the time of registration, but the hotel fee will be settled onsite. The rooms will be made available on a first come first serve basis. If you are interested in this option, please contact Christopher Netter at cjnetter@gmail.com
All of the cabins have bunk beds and their own bathrooms, including a shower. The majority contain large bunk rooms sleeping 12 to 17 people. One cabin will be designated for quiet housing and one for family housing.
There are 6 rooms in the lodge sleeping 3 to 6 people. The lodge will be where the majority of the evening events take place including pickup dancing and singing. Because of this, the lodge will also be the noisiest place to sleep. One lodge will be designated for family housing.
There is tent space available for all who will - BYOT. Tenters will use the shower facilities in the basement of the lodge.
One of the lodges and one of the cabins have been set aside for family housing. Families requesting family housing should indicate this on the Registration Form. Since there is limited space for family housing, it will be assigned first-come, first-serve, based on the date of registration.
People wanting quiet housing (i.e., lights out at 10, no midnight songfests in the living room) indicate this on the Registration Form. We will attempt to house together those wanting quiet space at each price level.
